Job Description

Business Office Manager ensures all patient related and other revenue is recorded, billed and collected timely and accurately. The BOM works closely with admissions, utilization review and clinical department personnel to ensure all related patient billing information is collected so that charges are collected first pass. Primary liaison with insurance carriers on claims related issues. Understands and communicates carrier claims requirement to Foundations staff as appropriate. Manages department so that the resources are used efficiency and effectively.
The Business Office Manager is responsible to ensure that the revenue cycle process meets the integrity standards set by Foundations and UHS. The Manager will ensure that information is communicated in a timely, straightforward, unbiased manner and the content is accurate so that recipients can make informed decisions. The Business Office Manager will also lead cross functional changes and training that will ensure the revenue cycle operates efficiently and maximizes the utilization of the resources supporting it.
The Business Office Manager is required to meet Foundations standards of customer service and best practices as well as adhere to UHS Code of Conduct. The person must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, unquestioned integrity and dedication to their responsibilities and Foundations mission.

Job Requirements

High School diploma required. Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or 5 years equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
