The candidate will be responsible for the accurate weighing and recording of customers delivering and removing materials from the facility.
Candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Position requires standing for extended periods and the ability to read vehicle information from several feet away and accurately key same data into a computerized system. Computer skills are a plus as position is heavily data entry and requires the incumbent to create reports for the city client.
Candidate must be dependable, assertive, goal-oriented, able to work independently and be willing to be a contributing member of an integral team. Must be able to follow, and be capable of instructing others on Company procedures.
Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to; answering/directing phone calls, communicating via CB/two way radio/internal communication systems, screening/logging/directing visitors, assisting in data archiving, filing, customer support, communicating and reporting to management and/or other plant departments, occasionally lifting 35 lbs. and securing the facility gate.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. The ability to speak some Spanish is helpful.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS/Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This position requires some Saturdays and holidays scheduled to work .
