You're a good fit if: You have a good work ethic, are a team player and have a compassionate nature. You should also know your way around a commercial kitchen and be competent with general cooking practices, including proper measuring, cooking temperatures and contamination prevention.
What you'll do: A typical day includes working as part of a team to prepare and serve meals for residents, including those with multiple dietary restrictions. You'll serve snacks and supplements and connect with residents each day as you document nutritional intake. You'll also help with dining and kitchen cleanup, safety monitoring, and sanitary practices. It's fast-paced work, but the time goes quickly.

Prior work experience in quantity cooking and therapeutic diets or related experience in a similar type of setting is preferred.
Ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities. Certification as a food protection manager by ServSafe or other equivalent ANSI approved program is preferred before assuming duties of person in charge.
Basic ability to communicate and comprehend. Able to demonstrate knowledge of foodborne diease prevention and apply food safety principles.

We are looking for a full-time Cook to join our 5-star team and be a part of our mission! As a Cook, you will be involved in our residents' nutritional well-being. In your role as a Cook, you will coordinate the production of, prepare, and serve nutritious and appetizing meals based on orders, standards, and regulations. We are looking for a full-time cook to join our 5-star team and be a part of our mission! We are looking for an individual with experience in cooking and one who is willing to fill in when needed in other positions (doing dishes, helping to serve meals, etc. The desired candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a cook.
The typical schedule is Sundays - Thursdays, 10:30am - 7pm, averaging 40 hours per week. The desired candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to clients, so it is required that they are able to read, understand, and scale recipes. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable in this environment and is able to visit with residents on an on-going basis to ensure that they are happy with the meals that they are being served.
We are looking for an individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The desired candidate will work closely with staff and is able to give direction as needed.
