We seek a dedicated individual who will monitor and maintain proper operation of the ash conditioning and removal system. This individual will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and cleaning all systems related to ash removal and conditioning, i.e., magnets, non-ferrous recovery, conveyors, etc. as well as turning on and turning off motor control center breaker operations. Specific responsibilities are ensuring proper operation of the ash mixing system, ferrous and non-ferrous recovery, assisting other operating personnel as necessary to support plant operations, and maintaining and monitoring operation of module sump pumps and the entire ash conveyor system. Operating small bobcat loaders and forklifts is required for miscellaneous plant operations. Additional responsibilities are keeping conveyors sealed, preventing introduction of tramp air and ash spillage. The position is required to perform general housekeeping of their work area or other areas of the plant and perform or assist in maintenance as required on PM check-off sheets.
- Possess a High School or Vocational School diploma, or equivalent technical training or utility training.
- Possess a minimum of 1 years experience as a plant operator in a EFW facility or similar industrial environment.
- Possess the ability to read, write and comprehend technical information.
- Must be able to work required scheduled as determined by plant operations including rotating shift work and on-call status to respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Must be able to perform all duties associated with power plant operations which includes bending, lifting, reaching, working on elevated platforms and ladders, working in confined spaces and at heights
