Job Description:

Bank of America Global Leasing (“BAL”) is the largest U.S. bank owned leasing company, and a leading global asset finance firm.  BAL provides customized leasing and equipment finance solutions to customers, clients and prospects of Bank of America worldwide.  BAL has operations in North America, as well as, in APAC and EMEA.  The successful Candidate will support BAL’s secured lending/leasing, capital markets and portfolio management activities in the U.S. with a focus on BAL’s vendor finance business operations.     

Responsibilities

  • Program agreement and transaction structuring, documentation and negotiation including related bulk or portfolio purchases   
  • Selecting and managing outside counsel
  • Providing legal advice and counsel to business unit management  
  • Monitoring applicable laws, rules and regulations  

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong academic credentials
  • The ideal candidate with have at least 6+ years’ experience structuring, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and closing varied equipment leasing and financing transactions including general equipment, motor vehicles, manufacturing and construction equipment, IT equipment, healthcare/medical equipment and software, and related portfolio, asset management and capital markets (syndications) transactions
  • Vendor finance experience including two party (i.e., retail) and three party (i.e., wholesale) financing structures, UNL and other recourse arrangements, receivables and software license finance, strongly preferred 
  • Prior in-house experience at a bank, leasing company or other financial institution a significant plus
  • JD or equivalent with Bar Admission in good standing

  • Ability to balance risk and reward in a manner consistent with Bank of America’s risk framework
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
