JOB SUMMARY:

The Industrial Field Service Technician will perform fluid maintenance activities on metal working tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travels to customer sites via service vehicle, replacing or recycling metal working fluids
  • Develops best practices to increase productivity -- reducing the number of hours of labor to perform a given job activity
  • Sets up and operates moderately complex equipment for cleaning and testing purposes
  • Maintains stocking levels on service vehicle
  • Effectively interacts with customers so to perform work in an active shop in a minimally intrusive manner
  • Follows checklists and work instructions for clean-up process, precisely mixes and confirms basic metal working fluids
  • Responsible for cross-selling industrial services offered by Lube-Tech


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training:

  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with troubleshooting and maintaining complex electromechanical equipment
  • Effectively collaborates with team members
  • Ability to maneuver a job site, including small spaces in and around our equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and strategic thinking

Licenses and Certificates: Valid driver’s license required

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

This position is labor intensive in external customer’s facilities/buildings. Will need to be able to get in and out of the company vehicle. The employee must have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds independently as well as the ability to maneuver a job site, including small spaces in and around equipment. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed at offsite customer locations and driving in a company vehicle. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
