Job Description Summary:
Coordinate, Implement, and Monitor the Corporate Safety Programs at various project locations
Job Description:
* Implements and supports project EH&S plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
* Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.
* Identifies, evaluates, and delivers project specific EH&S training and assists with the development of division specific training.
* Implements Corporate EH&S Programs & communication strategies on projects.
* Coordinates the distribution of information relative to hazard identification, hazard resolution schedules and tracks issues to closure.
* Leads project EH&S inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and sub-contractor safety plans.
* Develops, reviews, edits, and maintains the project EH&S database for Hazard Tracking.
* Develops, analyzes, and integrates process safety information into studies and reports.
* Monitors and audits trade partner EH&S performance.
* Participates in on-site investigative processes (to include root cause analysis) and provides recommendations for and evaluating corrective actions taken.
* Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
* May Supervise, coach, train and mentor EH&S Coordinators and other employees.
Minimum Qualifications
* Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or similar through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
* 5+ years' experience in an Environmental Health and Safety role with a General Contractor in Industrial Construction.
* Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve.
* Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
* Strong working knowledge of applicable EH&S regulations and industrial construction processes and terminology.
* Demonstrated ability for technical problem solving, technical writing, and computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) is required.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
* Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
* 2+ Years as a Supervisory or Management Experience
* Familiarity with Oil and Gas, Power Generation or Wastewater Treatment Operations.
* NCCER or OSHA Outreach Instructor (OSHA 500)
* Familiarity with Autodesk products, specifically BIM Field.
