Duties:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is comprised of 48 beds that are geographically spread throughout three floors of the hospital. There are 16 beds located on each of the 2nd, 4th, and 5th floors of the hospital.The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit that provides care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. Various types of technology are used to care for and treat critical care patient. This technology includes, but is not limited to,ventilators,entriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps. Fulfills the needs of the patients, families and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with his/her licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. 3 plus years of ICU experience is required.

Schedule Notes: 13 weeks Shift: 3-12's PM or rotating. 48 guaranteed (4x12's) option is available if interested (OT is paid after 40) Every other weekend required Current DC RN License Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Preferred: TNCC, FCCS, TCAR, CCRN, ENLS, ATCN, TCRN must be able to start quickly cardiothoracic experience preferred *Will support any of the ICU floors as needed
