Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking dynamic and talented Registered Nurse to work evening shift on our Older Adult –Medically complex Unit.   Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center and offers the most advanced behavioral health, diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents and older adults in both inpatient and outpatient programs. We are looking for a Full-time Evening Shift (2:45p to 11:15p) Registered Nurse to work on our Older Adult more medically complex unit as well as be flexible enough to also work on other units when needed. In this role, you will assume responsibility for providing patient care in accordance with established standards of professional nursing care. You will utilize psychiatric clinical skills to provide direct patient care with an emphasis on safety. Interacting as an integral part of the interdisciplinary treatment team you will provide leadership in the department to facilitate excellent patient care.

Hampton’s Older Adult Program maintains high standards so that loved ones are treated both with compassion and respect.  As a part of a multi-disciplinary team you will be expected to provide a thorough nursing assessment, manage medications and provide top of the line medical care to our patients.  Patients on this unit come in with a variety of medical aliments in addition to the need for psychiatric assistance. 

Position Requirements:

  • Current New Jersey RN licensure; BSN/BS preferred
  • Minimum requirements are one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience, or two (2) years of medical/surgical experience;
  • ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred. 
  • CPR certification required.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently and take charge of the unit.
