If you are an experienced Technical Support Specialist looking for a position with a leading company, Bartech can help! We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation’s biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Technical Support Specialist. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Technical Support Specialist will include:  

  • Compare purchase order and quotation information:
  • Pricing
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Quantities
  • Special Requirements
  • Collaborate with Proposals and Sales to resolve order discrepancies.
  • Create material numbers and order packets for design engineers:
  • Use customized software to generate material numbers
  • Create packets that include all pertinent documentation required for proper design and production
  • Communicate special requirements
  • Process customer changes against open sales orders
  • Communicate information between engineering, marketing, scheduling, and customers
  • Accumulate data for metrics and process tracking.
  • Understand and utilize lean tools and concepts to drive continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Support Specialist

Job Requirements

As a Technical Support Specialist you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
  • Minimum of 3 years of product, customer service, inside sales, or proposals experience in a technical field
  • Technical degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of product, customer service, inside sales, or proposals experience in a technical field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using ERP and quotation systems
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SAP or other ERP related system and the ability to utilize such tools to analyze data and solve routine problems
