An absolutely beautiful hospital in sunny Southern California is looking for an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to join their team. 

The Outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work for one of Southern California’s premier hospitals. With numerous healthcare awards under their belt, this medical center is well-known for providing quality patient care. 

Reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health Services, and working as a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner will be overseeing the care of psychiatric patients, while collaborating with Physicians, Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Educators, Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and other healthcare professionals to help set the standard of what quality care means.

The Outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will have a strong understanding of best practices, and current trends as they relate to quality patient care. Previous knowledge and experience in mental health services will enable the Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to expertly perform their job duties. This includes performing individual patient assessments, running diagnostics, interpreting results, prescribing medication, and writing treatment plans.

This job requires a strong healthcare professional with previous behavioral health experience. A current, unrestricted NP license is required as is a desire to learn and educate others.
