City and County of Honolulu (HI) Honolulu, HI (Onsite) Full-Time
Position Information

Performs difficult professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.

There are multiple vacancies in various departments in the City and County of Honolulu:

* Two vacancies with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply.
* One vacancy with the Capital Projects Division, Construction Branch
* One vacancy with the Field Operations - Technical and Operational Support Branch


Three vacancies in theDepartment of Environmental Services.

* One vacancy with theCollection System Maintenance Division,with telecommuting and alternate schedule opportunities available
* Two vacancies with theWastewater Engineering & Construction Division

One vacancy in theDepartment of Transportation Services,Transportation Rail Division.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.

Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

Verification Requirement: You may submit evidence of your education. Please attach an electronic copy of your diploma and/or official transcript which shows the embossed seal or applicable FCE to your application.Or mail a photocopy of your documents to the following address: Department of Human Resources, 650 South King Street, 10th Floor, Honolulu, HI 96813. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

Three years of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:

1. Possession of avalid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawaii.

Applicants with a current out-of-state professional civil engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.

2. Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required.
