WellStar Health System – the largest health system in Georgia and a nonprofit organization – is recognized as a national leader in comprehensive, world-class care, emphasizing improved access and affordability.

Serving a population of more than one million residents in northwest metropolitan Atlanta, WellStar consistently looks at total patient wellness and works to ensure that all systems support that focus. Healthy patients come from healthy neighborhoods. So we keep a keen eye on our community’s emerging needs in order to equip our facilities with the best, most critical, new technology and deliver the right care, at the right time in the right place.

In support of this ambition, we have recently expanded our footprint with the acquisition of Tenet Healthcare’s Georgia-based hospitals and a new partnership with West Georgia Health. This means WellStar can now share its vision of world-class healthcare with new communities and patients, and is better positioned to serve patients for years to come. We will grow to more than 1,000 physicians and advanced practice professionals across more than 200 medical office locations and numerous outpatient facilities.

As a nonprofit, The WellStar Foundation continues each year to fund initiatives ranging from new buildings and facilities to new technologies and services, such as genetic testing.
