INPATIENT CHILD THERAPIST  

Heartland Behavioral Health Services is looking for individuals who want to Change Lives!   Heartland Behavioral Health Services is a leader in the mental health community, providing short term mental health hospitalization for chil­dren and adolescents, as well as, longer term specialized residential treatment.  Our dedicated clinical and behavioral health specialist staff fully embrace evidence-based therapeutic modalities,  while keeping an utmost commitment to trauma informed care.   We continuously focus on the mission of changing lives while providing an individualized experience for each child that enters our facility.    

Join the fast paced team that provides individual, family and group psychotherapy to adolescent and pre-adolescent patients/residents and their families. Demonstrate the ability to practice independently as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Part of the interdisciplinary team, participating in treatment team meetings. Completes psychosocial histories and aids in discharge planning.

Job Requirements

::

Knowledge of the professional principles, practices and techniques of psychotherapy as they apply to patients/residents undergoing psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation.

Minimum of a Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or counseling.  Licensure from the State of Missouri to practice independently as a clinician in stated field, i.e., LCSW, LPC Psy.D. Ph.D.   

Experience in Play Therapy, Theraplay and Art Therapy a plus.  

Two years experience in psychiatric inpatient setting preferred, practicum/internships within a mental health setting.

Sign on bonus $2000.00 with  licensure from the State of Missouri to practice independently as a clinician in stated field   LCSW, LPC,  or Licensed Psychologist    Fully licensed start at $31/hr, $64,000 a year-plus experience and training added.

Sign on bonus $1500.00  with Master’s Degree in  social work or counseling  in need of supervision (LMSW, PLPC)for licensure and training in evidenced-based practices-under supervision begins at $26/hr.
