Job Description



Purpose:

The Sr. eCommerce Sales Manager develops and executes focused sales and marketing plans to meet strategic objectives within the online channel while aligning to both company and key account goals.



Nature & Scope:

The Sr. eCommerce Sales Manager works directly with key online retail customers and internal cross-functional teams to drive customer advocacy and sales growth. This is accomplished by leading the development and execution of a growth strategy, aligning with other channels to drive a cohesive omni-channel strategy, training customers on DFC products, programs, policies and procedures, and analyzing data to identify sales trends, sales drivers, and create plans to develop countermeasures where gaps exist. A crucial part of this role is planning and driving the execution of a calendar of activities and initiatives to support channel growth as well as working to ensure future success for the organization and customers. In addition to working closely with the eCommerce team this role will collaborate with Finance, Customer Solutions, Operations, Product Marketing, and Sales Channel counterparts.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Identify and support retail platform growth levers.
  • Develop Sales playbook with cross-functional and omni-channel input.
  • Drive outstanding brand representation and engagement with key online customers.
  • Align sales goals and priorities with customer.
  • Manage and optimize budget for assigned accounts.
  • Lead internal and customer facing meetings to drive cross-functional engagement and accountability.
  • Plan and execute customer training events.
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to optimize customer investments.
  • Lead deployment of key growth levers and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, execute root cause analysis, and deploy counter measures where needed.
  •  Own internal and external omni-channel relationships.
  •  Advise Long Range Planning and pivot strategy where needed.
  •  Gain and maintain a deep understanding of retail platform dynamics, growth levers, and developments.
  • Design customer programs and develop annual budget with high degree of autonomy.


Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will have a BS in a Business or Marketing related field and 5-8 years of related experience. An MBA is helpful. Previous experience in, or exposure to, eCommerce is required. Must be able to analyze and quickly interpret data from various sources. An understanding of consumer research and purchase behavior, brand positioning and shopping behavior is also required. This individual will have a proven track record of effectively building relationships, informally influencing, and presenting at all levels. Incumbent must be highly motivated and able to creatively solve problems while ensuring decision making and engagement occurs at the right levels within the organization. Being able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment while prioritizing a dynamic set of priorities is essential. Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is vital for success. The ability to quickly learn new analytics tools is also important. Travel is required 10-20% of the time.
