Specialist, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Design Engineer with Security Clearance
* Coordinate test and verify EMI design requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the development and sustainment of various L3 Harris systems.
* Develop control plans, test procedures, and test reports.
* Perform design analysis and implementation mitigation mechanisms to ensure EMI/EMC compliance.
* Evaluation of design drawings to verify and correct system design to MIL-STD-461 standards.
* Review supplier and partner qualification data for electromagnetic compatibility
* Develop and validate electromagnetic requirements for electrical electronic systems, mechanical systems interconnect and structures.
* Perform EMI/EMC nuclear hardening, HIRF, Lightning, RF co-site and antenna coupling analysis and test. * Apply EMI engineering technology experience to document and solve complex problems. * Perform trade studies modeling simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component interconnects and system performance and to optimize design.
* Ability and willingness to travel as needed Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Engineering Physics Technology and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
* 2+ years experience with EMI/EMC design required
* Experience with RF isolation, shielding, grounding and filtering
* Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills: * Active US DOD Secret Security Clearance preferred
* Experience with HFSS software package highly preferred
* International Association for Radio Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) EMI/EMC engineer certification * Familiarization of RF and measurement instrumentation such as receivers, antennas, analyzers and amplifiers.
