Accounts Payable Associate

Overview
The Accounts Payable Associate position is primarily responsible for performing a variety of accountingtasks related to the maintenance/processing of payable account records, invoices, etc. Monthlystatement reconciliation for multiple vendors. Communications with both internal and externalcustomers regarding payable inquiries. Assist Accounts Payable Mangers with monthly/ quarterlyclosing responsibilities.
This is a REMOTE position; qualified Candidate can be based out of Richmond, VA, Texarkana, TX or Wilmington, NC.
Responsibilities
* Request and review all vendor statements on, at least, a monthly basis. More frequently depending on payment terms
* Review payable accounts to ensure that information is properly recorded, and the records contain appropriate authorization for payment
* Receiving, verifying, processing, and entering missing invoice within the GPM guidelines.
* Conform and adhere to internal controls over accounting procedures as set forth by upper management
* Manual check posting for assigned vendors.
* Interfaces frequently with various levels within the organization.
* Perform other related duties as required by your supervisor
Qualifications
* High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
* Accounts payable, or accounting.
* Experience in performing reconciliations is required.
* PDI/Enterprise, Laserfiche, and Concur experience preferred
* Confidentiality, Integrity, and Ethics
* Solid understanding of GAAP
* Strong Excel skills
* Excellent Customer Service
* Attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact effectivelywith all levels of staff and management.
* Time management, organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills required, with theability to handle tight deadlines.
* Excellent research and problem-solving skills and ability to propose solutions to problems.
