Within Rexnord Power Transmission, we design, manufacture, market and service specified, highly engineered mechanical components worldwide used within complex systems where our customers’ reliability requirements and the cost of failure or downtime are extremely high. We keep industry moving with products and services that enhance the reliability of equipment supporting key industries, including food, beverage & liquid, automotive, energy, and mining. Our new digital productivity platform, DiRXN (pronounced “Direction”), based on the integration of innovative Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and e-commerce technologies with a leading portfolio of tools, products and services, connects our customers to data and information that allows them to optimize productivity across all stages of their lifecycles.

 

Position Overview

Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials under direct supervision.  


Key Accountabilities
•           Examine and visually inspect overall quality of shoes to ensure conformance to specifications.

•           Hang, prepare, and break down shoes.

•           Deliver proper amount of completed shoes to cast/demold based on needed supply. 

•           Prepare empty racks, bins and shipments for next day pick-up.

•           Perform activities planned by others.

•           Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Rexnord policies, 5S procedures, and in line with Rexnord core values.

 

Job Requirements

•           0- 2 years of experience in manufacturing; high school diploma or equivalent a plus.

•           Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.

•           Accurately read and comprehend material such as production schedules and computer generated reports.

•           Ability to read precision measuring instruments

•           Ability to write to record basic information.

•           Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic including excel spreadsheets.

•           Skill and ability to place material in, or remove them from machines.  Start, stop, and observe the functions of machines or equipment.  Adjust materials or controls of a machine such as changing guides, setting timers, clearing jams, and adjusting switches to maintain performance. (Replace material, fill bins or supply conveyors, etc.)

•           Manual dexterity.

•           Ability to carry out one- or two-step tasks (transport, stack, weigh, etc.). 

•           Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions.

•           Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
