Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Immediate contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in the Somersworth NH area.



Machine set-up & maintenance, tool maintenance, prototype machining (include CNC Machining), development, assembly and documentation of prototype components and equipment

Development of manufacturing processes, test stations and precision measurement as required for development projects and mfg support in wound component assemblies, specialized mfg equipment, custom motors, motion control products or mechanical assemblies.

In addition, this position includes the development and documentation of work stations, equipment and tools used in the manufacturing process.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and perform mechanical layout, documentation, assembly testing & troubleshooting, to include drawing of basic layouts, block diagrams, electrical schematics, flow charts & assembly drawings.



Assist in developing technical specifications, manufacturing processes, purchasing specifications, process documentation, drawings, BOM's and "standards for scheduling in mfg activities, prototyping and new projects.



Mechanical design, tolerancing, assembly & analysis of prototype machines, fixtures, tooling & measuring or automation stations, including the development of assembly procedures, processes & quality inspections for finished assemblies.



Develop & practice routine maintenance procedures for tools, machines and test equipment, organize & record mechanical revisions for internal & external application, develop & maintain configuration control for drawings & documentation, and update & maintain a current engineering library & appropriate reference materials.



Technicians & Mfg Engineers coordinate with or perform QC Inspector Role as required to facilitate quality systems goals within functional areas.



Learn, implement & develop visual, mechanical & electrical inspection techniques, failure analysis, life tests and process & test documentation such as logs, lot travelers and production records consistent with QC/QA requirements.



Learn, implement & develop proper safety procedures and maintain neat & clean work areas, and act in a manner to promote safety and accident prevention during all work activities.



Operation/troubleshooting of machinery and equipment used in the prototyping, manufacturing or engineering of magnetic components including fixtures, measurement equipment, vacuum equipment, hand tools, test stations, test equipment, winding machines, grit blasters, coating equipment, induction heaters, hones and grinders, environmental and electrical test equipment.
