HOME BASED (REMOTE) POSITION
Receives direction and supervision from a designated Vice President of Resort Operations. Responsible for the operational integrity of all resorts within a limited, regional geographical area. Position may include responsibility as the “Acting” General Manager at one of the resorts in assigned area. Ensures that VRI resort standards are constantly adhered to and met. Promotes VRI within the region for the purpose of generating interest and inquiries regarding VRI resort management services. Attends all Board and Association meetings.
In conjunction with the Vice President of Resort Operations:
Assists in the selection and recruitment of resort managers.
Ensures all resorts in region consistently meet VRI standards of staff attitude, cleanliness and over all ambiance.
Ensures the optimum operation and utilization of each property. Coordinates all training at each resort including front desk operations where applicable.
Directs the budget management process at each resort.
Monitors the proper use of reports and forms at each resort.
Periodically checks records and files at each resort.
Monitors housekeeping, maintenance and front desk staff and procedures at each resort.
Supervises and conducts inspections for the Quality assurance program at each resort.
Promotes VRI Management Services within the regions as well as the VRI Enhancement Programs.
Helps coordinate Board action items with VRI staff.
Performs other various tasks and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Generates Associations meeting minutes, agendas, meeting notices and related material. Additionally, responsible for the timely distribution and posting of required notices, agendas, meeting minutes etc.
Responsible for ensuring that the resorts are in compliance with all applicable State and local statues, such as balcony and patio railing inspections, 509 posting requirements registered agent etc.
Generates initial performance evaluation for General Managers in their region.
Education and experience demonstrating a well-rounded background in hotel or resort management, with several years of direct management/supervisory experience. Knowledge of, or experience in, the property management field required, with direct experience in the following area: resort staffing, building maintenance, builder/developer relations, Association/Board of Directors relations, budgeting and accounting, sales and marketing, and food & beverage. Basic knowledge of business software such as MS Office. If located in Florida, must earn FL CAM license within 6 months of start date. If located in other states must abide by state licensing requirements.
