Reporting directly to the Content Manager, the Content Specialist is a member of the team responsible for finding, shaping and writing/producing interesting stories about the people, procedures and locations of WellStar Health Systems. Successful applicants will possess a portfolio clearly demonstrating the ability to generate content with appeal to consumer audiences. The content team will interview relevant parties, perform research about how the idea is related to current events, and generate such pieces as long informative copy, short advertising copy, web pages and social posts. The Content Specialist will contribute to the monthly editorial calendar and must feel comfortable conducting interviews with anyone from a patient to a physician. With a burgeoning ability to think strategically, an excellent grasp of details, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once, this well-rounded wordsmith possesses amazing interpersonal and writing skills, as well as a “get-it-done” mentality. Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree and digital portfolio viewable before an interview is scheduled.
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: None.
Required Minimum Experience: two years of writing and content experience in integrated marketing.
Required Minimum Skills: Ability to produce content on deadline, work collaboratively with other creatives, and edit copy until it sings.
