Job Type: Full Time (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM)

Reports to: Lead Porter

Compensation: *$29,848.00 - $33,240.00 based on experience

Job Summary: This position will report to the Lead Porter within the Building & Grounds Team. You will assist in keeping the Ministry facilities in a safe & habitable order by performing general cleaning throughout your shift as well as special projects as assigned to the standard set by the Health Department and our Administration. This is a year-round position for the Ministry. You will also assist with event setup and teardown/cleanup.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Cleans bathrooms using a variety of cleaning liquids to include commercial detergents or bleach.
2. Following OSHA & Health Department guidelines, ensure proper handling/mixing of all chemical cleaning solutions.
3. Ensures that all floors, mirrors, sinks, faucets, doors, handles, toilet seats, and bowls are clean and disinfected to Health Department standards. Restock all paper products as needed as well as remove trash frequently.
4. Able to occasionally work flexible hours, weekends, and special events based on the ministry’s need.
5. Vacuums all carpeted areas. Dust mops and Wet Mops (or floor scrubber) all hard surface floors.
6. Maintains all common areas (entryways, lobby, offices, MPR, classrooms and hallways, etc) to the standard set forth by Administration.
7. Operates, cleans, and maintains floor scrubbers, vacuums, extractors, etc. Communicates to maintenance technicians when one of these pieces of equipment needs servicing.
8. Able to identify and evaluate problems, and communicate with maintenance technicians for solutions.
9. Serves as a role model to the students. Attends church regularly and demonstrates a Christian lifestyle.
10. Possesses integrity and exhibits personality skills that allows them to relate well with students, parents, teachers and co-workers.
11. Assists in the setup and teardown of lunch tables. Assists in setup and teardown of special events.
12. Other duties as supervisor deems necessary.
