Program Control Manager

Octo Consulting is seeking an experienced Program Control Manager to join our growing team in Reston, VA. The Program Control Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities Include:

  • In partnership with the CFO the candidate will be responsible managing the Program Control and Corporate Development functions, including developing, organizing, and reporting a set of enterprise metrics and reports
  • Responsible for working with operations to create the forecasts, working with business development to create the new business forecasts, creating and managing the indirect forecast and wrap rates
  • Work with the business units to evaluate results and projections to deliver corporate level reporting packages, financial analysis and financial plans
  • Lead special projects for the CFO organization including key post-closing integration efforts and other projects as needed
  • Play a critical role in organizing the company’s M&A strategy, as well as sourcing acquisitions of interest to senior leadership
  • Work with Octo executive leadership and Arlington Capital Partners to play a critical role in M&A due diligence and lead the due diligence effort for small-to-midsized transactions
  • 10+ years of professional experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or an advanced degree or certification such as an MBA, CPA, or CFA
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Federal Contracting industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications; expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail Oriented Independent, self-starter
  • Ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working for an Investment Bank, Private Equity firm, or in the Corporate Development department of a large corporation supporting M&A transactions
  • Experience working in a business Program Control role at a division or corporate level
  • An understanding of Government Contracting compliance including indirect cost creation and management
