The Hardware Engineering Department is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst in Cincinnati, OH who is self-motivated and energetic. This role will support on-going programs and rapidly growing business.


Essential Duties:



  • The Configuration Analyst is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive configuration management (CM) and Data Management (DM) process on programs in accordance with established CM practices.


  • Job emphasis is placed on planning and coordination of project documentation to ensure customer contract requirements are met.


  • Reviews contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of project.


  • Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.


  • Coordinates modification records for management control.


  • Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation.


  • Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality control, operations, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.


  • The Northrop Grumman CM tool, Siemens TeamCenter, will be used as the system of record for controlling document status and bills of material.



Our engineering work includes full life-cycle programs including design, development, system integration, hands-on test, training, and production. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in electrical engineering and will be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings. The successful candidate will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities.


Basic Qualifications for Principal Configuration Analyst:



  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 3 years with a Masters; 0 years with PhD.


  • Experience in configuration management.


  • Experience with a PLM tool.


  • US Citizenship is required.


  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance (NG will sponsor).



Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst:



  • 9 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with PhD.


  • Experience in configuration management.


  • Experience with a PLM tool.


  • US Citizenship is required.


  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance (NG will sponsor).



Preferred Qualifications for both:



  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.


  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.


  • Experience with Teamcenter or Product Data Management (PDM) system.


  • Knowledge in Electrical component engineering is a plus.


  • Self-starter and willing to learn new tools.

Salary Range: $80,600 - $121,000


Salary Range 2: $99,900 - $149,900


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
