Boutique IP Litigation firm in Manhattan, New York is seeking a mid-level associate to join its team of patent litigators. The associate hired for this position will take an active role in a busy and thriving patent litigation practice focused on cases filed in Federal District Courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Attorney will be expected to conduct infringement and validity analysis; prepare pleadings and infringement contentions; conduct research and draft substantive briefing; prepare patent owner responses in PTAB proceedings; conduct document discovery; assist in preparation of witnesses for depositions; and assist in pre-trial proceedings and at trial. This position provides significant exposure, including the opportunity to conduct depositions, participate in oral argument, including in claim construction and other substantive matters, and to work with experts on preparation of expert reports. Position requirements: 4-5 years of experience in patent litigation and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science required (will consider mechanical engineering degree). Admission to the New York bar required. Admission to the USPTO a plus.
