We are looking for a Transportation Manager, LTL to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing all North American domestic Less-Than-Truckload freight shipments, as well as trials, samples, & parcels!

Qualified candidates must reside in Pacific Standard Time due to business needs.

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

* Oversight of LTL freight and transportation operations out of co-packers, 3PL warehouses, e-Commerce fulfillment partners, & self manufacturing facilities
* Ensure optimum asset utilization, Carrier regulatory compliance, safety measures, cost controls, and consistent communication with the Director of Transportation for all LTL shipments
* Responsible and accountable for the on-time delivery performance of LTL shipments for trade shows, samples, trials, parcels, and recommend changes for improvement as necessary
* Develop, track, and report carrier performance within the Transportation Management System (TMS) with weekly, monthly, quarterly, & annual reporting to measure performance and manage expectations of the business
* Track & manage all case-pick activities at our partner 3PL warehouses
* Perform and manage spot quote pricing on new & current transportation lanes to align with current market freight rates, while optimizing cost & service
* Assist and support with Transportation team coverage during time off requests, vacations, sick days, etc. as necessary

Here are the things we think you need:

* Bachelor's degree, or at least 5+ years in transportation industry
* Experience in CPG food/grocery transportation and distribution preferred
* Experience utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS), KPIs, logistics planning, and route optimization techniques to manage freight operations
* Proven leadership skills, great communication skills, analytical skills, and cost savings & metrics management

The salary for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. Compensation may also include bonus, commission, or equity as applicable. For the state of Colorado only, our good faith estimate of the range of starting pay for this role is $90,000.
