Job Description Summary

As a Business Rules Developer at CCC Information Services - Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review of requirements to convert into predefined template, analyze issues and come up with resolution, review JSON file to ensure it is created correctly, create unit test cases to test the rule, provide support to team to resolve issues, perform code reviews of rules created by other content developers.

Job Duties


  • * Analyze rules flow diagrams and detailed requirements to ensure complete understanding of the rule(s) that need to be created
    * Populate the Excel based template with the information required to create the rule using the domain specific language that will be converted to a JSON format
    * Identify problems and make recommendations on how to overcome the issue
    * Develop unit tests using Cucumber to test all possible outcomes of the rule
    * Provide support to the QA team and address problems if they arise
    * Communicates and collaborate effectively, written and orally, across all levels within the organization



  • * 5+ years of experience in a technical environment - preferably in a healthcare environment
    * Experience with testing tools such as Cucumber
    * Experience working with or around Business Rules Engines within a Business Process Management System- DROOLS/Java experience preferred
    * Intermediate knowledge of Medicare, Auto Fee Schedule, and Reasonable Fee payment methodology
    * Knowledge of or experience in Medical coding, a plus
    * Experience with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Visio
    * Knowledge of JSON file format
    * Exhibit strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a knack for pro-actively identifying and resolving technical issues
    * Possess good communication and documentation skills through clearly written, concise and comprehensive documentation
