JOB SUMMARY

- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Under general supervision, the individual will prepare multiple-view mechanical detail and assembly drawings from layout drawings, sketches, existing or prototype parts, and/or verbal instructions from senior drafting or engineering personnel. 1. Uses appropriate industry symbology to create printed circuit board detail and assembly drawings, schematic drawings, wiring, logic and block diagrams. 2. Creates drawings by hand or using software programs. 3. Performs other routine drafting activities as directed such as: revising or redrawing existing drawings, making blocks or cells, etc. 4. Ensures all work conforms to DoD MIL-STD-100 and EG&G drafting standards 5. Creates output drawings in various formats from electronic files of various types. 6. Creates/edits charts and images and presentation materials. Maintain files and backup disks. 7. Provides drawings incorporating drafting manual standards and procedures, architectural standards, and other national standards as required. 8. Performs other related and non-related duties as directed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to his/her job.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. The foregoing conditions and physical requirements represent the general characteristics required to perform the essential functions for this job. In general, all positions may require standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Specific work assignments may include additional environmental conditions or physical requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. These specific requirements will be detailed in the job posting. Also, JT3 employees will only operate equipment that they have been fully trained on and/or are certified to operate. If working in a training capacity, employees must be supervised at all times by a competent trained or certified company employee. Under no circumstances should employees use another employee's equipment without permission from their immediate supervisor or manager. Conversely, employees should not allow other JT3 employees or employees of another employer to use JT3 owned or assigned equipment without proof of training and approval of the shop manager.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE

A graduate of a two to four year technical institute preferred or equivalent training. Should have a minimum of one year experience preferably in the high technology industry with an emphasis on electro-mechanical drawing. Must be competent in the use of at least one CAD software program as appropriate to specific assignments.
