You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for automating the build, deployment and publishing of our packaged applications and SaaS products. That’s year one. Using your build expertise, you will work with development team members to develop an effective and efficient build system for enterprise Windows software and Microsoft cloud solutions. You will work on creating a continuous release strategy and automating the various steps involved in deploying products to our customers (85%)

Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospectives as part of the Agile Scrum software development lifecycle. (15%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or relevant experience required
  • 6+ years prior DevOps experience in automating Microsoft stack builds and deployment to Azure in a distributed software organization required
  • Expertise in Jenkins pipelines (including Groovy script) required
  • Familiarity with Teamcity builds
  • Familiarity with Azure Application Services management required
  • Azure based web hosting experience required
  • Solid PowerShell scripting capability
  • Solid knowledge of MSBuild, and Windows application builds
  • Familiarity with dotnet builds & visual studio projects/solutions
  • Solid knowledge of git
  • Familiarity with Nuget
  • Solid knowledge of Bitbucket
  • Expertise in CI/CD from a build and deploy perspective
  • Strong capability to document, clearly, the build environment and our best practices around builds, and any repo preparation related thereto
  • Able to work with Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation
  • Communication: Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members and customers
  • Teamwork: Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships.
  • Organization: The ability to arrange resources to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify the information needed to solve problems effectively.

This job requires 0% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Lafayette, Indiana or remote with availability during core hours of 9am to 4pm MT. Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay

$72,000 - $125,000 / year
