What do you get to do in this position?

Schneider Electric is looking for a Database Administrator/Developer to work within our fast-paced, agile environment. This person will be responsible for the logic development, operation, security, and updates for the Data Conversion Server (DCS) as it applies to SAP data migration in an SQL Server environment. Reporting directly to the Regional Data Migration Manager and functional report to the Project Data Migration Manager, this position will also train, mentor, and oversee the Domain Data Team Leads in Data Conversion Server logic creation and enhancements in the SQL Server environment ensuring that data standards and best practices are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Follow the Schneider bridge implementation process methodology and use tools defined for the project data migration.

•    Work directly with Global Data Leaders within each Domain to achieve standard results.

•    Take the ultimate responsibility for project source data extracts and importing into the Data Conversion Server.

•    Responsible for development and maintenance of business populated enrichment interfaces linked to the Data Conversion Server.

•    Work directly with the Domain Data Team Leads on logic development to support data quality checks and create the upload data files.

•     Provide feedback to the Agile Product Owners, Scrum Masters and/or   Project Data Migration Manager for project planning strategy.

•    Alert the Agile Scrum Master and Project Data Migration Manager about any data issues or required decisions and validations within the Data Conversion Server that would impact project deliverables.

•    Supply requested data analysis for business owned data enrichment, cleansing, and scoping to support decision making on strategic direction.

•    Supply ad hoc reports as requested by business teams and Schneider partners.

•    Participate in and be aware of product features and their value realization with regards to Agile practices.

 

The right candidate will have the following capabilities and experience:

•         Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Systems field or equivalent experience.

•         Strong professional experience working with database management        technology and solutions.

•         Proven capability in SQL and multi-language programming.

•         Familiarity with multiple database platforms.

•         Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodology.

•         Solid leadership and project management skills.

•         Excellent interpersonal skills.

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•         Demonstrated collaborative and team player behavior.

•         Strong conflict resolution skills to ensure customer satisfaction and successful achievement of business goals in a timely manner. 

•         Focused on results and achievements.

•         Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

•         Ability to work autonomously.

•         Drive to contribute at very high level.

•         Capable of managing and collaborating with a remote team.

•          Experience working in a matrix environment for a large global organization.
