Within a team environment, provides support for HCT providers during facility encounters manages patient traffic flow, performs follow-up care per provider instructions, and assists with patient education.
Essential Functions:- Medical records, specialist reports, conversations with patient) and integrates relative data to electronic record. - Assists in managing patient flow, concerns and information. - Pre-assesses patient by reviewing history, collecting current information and appropriate vital signs, documents in the medical record according to guidelines (e.g., hearing, vision, blood pressure). - Prepares room and patient for practitioner encounter. - Schedules appointments for patients with lab, radiology, consultants and follow-up appointments as ordered by practitioner. - Resolves patient concerns promptly. - Participates in process of interviewing, selection, orientation and training of new team members. - Maintains department Quality Improvement standards. - Daily cleaning and restocking of exam rooms with QI Logs checkoff.
Basic Qualifications:Experience- N/AEducation- High School diploma or GED.License, Certification, Registration- AAMA or AMT Certification required.- American Heart Association BLS certification required. Additional Requirements:- Customer service aptitude demonstrated through Customer Service Assessment.
