A recognized health services network is currently seeking a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Kansas City as their new Clinical Apheresis Nurse. In this role, the Clinical Apheresis Nurse (RN) will be responsible for performing therapeutic apheresis procedures as well as initiating action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process, and quality system.

The Clinical Apheresis Nurse (RN) will be responsible for:
- Ensure compliance with relevant CBC, FDA, AABB, and OSHA regulations
- Perform therapeutic apheresis procedures on patients at CBC and area hospitals
- Perform quality control on apheresis instruments and related equipment
- Assist with training and competency assessment, as needed
- Ensure billing for department services are current
- Administer injectable vaccines and order vaccines, as needed
- Participate actively in applicable committees
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Participate in clinical trials and other relevant projects, as assigned
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a Critical Care, Therapeutic Apheresis, and/or Dialysis role/setting
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current MO and/or KS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic knowledge of Hematology knowledge
- Previous experience with Apheresis, Ancillary (e.g. tube seaters, blood warmers), and/or Vital Signs equipment (e.g. Spot Vitals, thermometers)
- Computer savvy
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
