Senior SQL Developer

Job Summary

The Senior SQL Developer/Lead - Onsite Hybrid position focuses on developing, maintaining, and supporting Platform applications. This role is responsible for critical product delivery requirements and collaborates with a culturally and technically diverse team that includes .Net developers, SQL developers, QA, and product management teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Define, document, and develop software applications, including technical architecture discussions, code reviews, and specifications.

•Develop, enhance, test, support, and debug software applications supporting business units or functions.

•Create thorough project documentation and technical specifications.

•Assess the impact of software changes and new development on other systems and conduct integration tests.

•Mentor junior team members and foster a knowledge-sharing environment.

Required Qualifications

•8+ years of SQL development experience or equivalent.

•Proficiency in the software development life cycle, including agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).

•Advanced SQL skills, including data modeling, normalization techniques, and database design patterns.

•Expertise in Always On, Transactional Replication, Clustering, T-SQL, and complex SQL query development.

•Experience with SQL BI stack, including SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.

•Source control experience with GitHub and Bitbucket.

•Strong knowledge of Windows Server and WSFC, especially for HA and DR management and troubleshooting.

•Extensive PowerShell experience, including module creation for SQL Server automation.

•Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and developing Dynamic SQL and stored procedures.

•Experience with ERD design (both physical and logical).

•Familiarity with MSDTC and MSMQ issue triage.

•Strong written/verbal communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•Proficiency in Agile methodologies.

•Strong understanding of SDLC principles.

•Familiarity with architectural patterns for scalable applications.
