Field Service Technician

Rate DOE Hourly W2 $25-30/hr
This job is 80% travel.
This position has the primary responsibility for the testing, successful start-up and commissioning of new control system projects and the troubleshooting and service/repair of installed projects.
Work in close cooperation with Project Manager, Project Engineer and Programmer to ensure common understanding amongst project team members and establish project schedule.
Review project plans and specification, operational descriptions and company proposal/scope of work.
Work with Project Manager, Sales, external contractors and end-users as required to obtain required information and clarifications.
Perform checkout/testing of control systems in factory prior to shipment: Electrical/mechanical Software and operational.
Participate in and/or coordinate field start-up and commissioning with contractors and end-users as required per the project plans . Installation. System De-bugging and Commissioning: Electrical/mechanical, Programming/software, Calibration of instrumentation and System interconnection to other devices/system. Training. Project Documentation and Close out.
Perform after-market field services on-demand and/or part of service contracts of control systems: Repairs, Parts, Retro-fits, Calibration and Service and expense reports as required to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
Monitor/review project budgets and schedule for any required changes or corrective actions. Implement and follow company standards in regard to testing, start-up and aftermarket service. Provide feedback for improvement and changes.
Provide input and guidance as required to other functions such as Sales for opportunity evaluation and estimating and provide feedback to engineering and programming related to design and functionality improvements.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Any other duties as directed by company management.
