Senior Manager, Event Marketing - Hybrid

Best Buy Boston, MA (On Site) Full-Time
This role is hybrid, which means you must be located within a drivable distance to the Boston Best Buy Health hub. You may be asked to come into the office up to 3 days per week. Additionally this role will require 30% travel to multiple events per year .

Best Buy Health is building a health care event marketing team to design and produce in-person, virtual and hybrid events of all shapes, sizes, and formats.

As the Senior Manger, Event Marketing you will build this new program from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity for the right professional to launch an enterprise event marketing program into a new and fast-growing market that makes an important difference in people's lives. During this ramp-up phase we need a hands-on leader to run events and design the program at the same time. The ideal candidate lives for events (you know who you are), is passionate, creative, detail oriented, and dedicated to providing superb client experiences at every turn. This role demands an expert in all aspects of events, conferences, meetings. We seek someone who can wear many hats including leadership, event strategy, event planning, on-site logistics, and post-event analysis. We seek a leader who can identify and manage conference speaking opportunities. While there is a keen focus on big-picture strategy and execution, we are seeking someone who intuitively understands that the smallest details make the biggest impact creating the most memorable and impactful events and engagements

What you'll do

* Define and document the SOP's for the event marketing program
* Plan, execute and measure events while building the program
* Preparation of timelines, status reports, cost analysis, and other reports as requested
* Execute program against project plan: action items, owners, due dates, statuses, issues, lessons learned, and risks
* Management of all event logistics, including but not limited to booth design, service kits, floor plans, content, staff, registration, website, transportation, venue requirements, special requirements, security, risk management, hotel room blocks, F&B, exhibit hall, A/V, and meeting materials
* Work with venue and all vendors to ensure that event is executed seamlessly
* Technical, AV and production knowledge, with an eye for understanding how a live experience translates for a digital audience
* Expertly manage individual registration functions, databases, and other tools utilized in support of the event
* Serve as the on-site point of contact for all event needs
* Drive process definition and improvement by evaluating event performance, debrief meetings, and wrap-up reports, including post-event analysis and recommendations for future events
* Work cross functionally with other teams, including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Legal, Procurement and others
* Manage menu coordination, selection, including dietary considerations and review BEOs and invoices for accuracy and approve expenditures
* Manage staff during live events to ensure job functions are clearly communicated and program is set up for success
* Support internal teams such as Marketing and Sales teams with ad hoc projects as needed

Basic qualifications

* 7+ years of relevant experience planning and executing trade shows, corporate meetings, and customer events (healthcare event marketing preferred)
* Exceptional project management, and time management skills - highly organized, detail focused, results-driven, and accountable with the ability to handle high pressure last-minute, urgent requests
* Deep understanding of marketing communications design and production standards
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, event platforms for planning and virtual events platforms

Preferred qualifications

* Bachelor's degree
* Expert in B2B Healthcare marketing, regulatory and compliance
* Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification
