Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assigns production operators to specific jobs to accomplish production or workload schedules.
  • Directs production processes such as inert material preparing, screening and blending, pelleting, melting, loading, explosive preparation assembly, packing, shipping, repairing, and machining.
  • Monitors quality of production and insures proper use of tools, equipment and materials.
  • Assures subordinates receive adequate safety training and hazardous waste handling and that pertinent regulations are followed.
  • Establishes employee morale and maintains discipline coordinating with higher authority when appropriate. Promotes and maintains high level of housekeeping.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of assigned production processes, equipment and materials.
