UM St. Joseph Medical Center is a 218 licensed bed, Catholic acute care hospital that observes the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. Provide Mental Health services using a strong integrative approach for common disorders such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, insomnia, and anger management challenges.
Complete psycho-social assessments of assigned patients
Develop treatment plans, monitor progress and collaborate on an on-going bases with patient care team.
Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Evidence-based Trauma interventions (CBT-T), CBT (for depression/ anxiety and stress management), ACT and Motivational Interviewing (for behavioral changes for health-associated conditions.
Implement interventions/techniques such as psychoeducation, relaxation (visualization, meditation), narrative, exposure-based treatment for health-related anxieties, and short-term goal setting.
Complete documentation with the EHR (EPIC) within 24 hours of seeing patient.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Nursing, Counseling, or Social Work
CERTIFICATION/ LICENSURE/ REGISTRATION:
One of the following required- LCPC, LCSW or LCSW-C, MFT, LGPC or MSN
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
One year of experience in therapy or counseling role
Biligual - Spanish (Required)
