Sims Metal Management is the world's leading metal recycling company; turning unwanted post-consumer items and industrial scrap into raw materials for manufacturing operations around the world. Sims Metal Management has over 80 sites in the U.S. and Canada with over 4500 employees.
The job duties vary. They may include cleaning and preparing the job site or sorting recyclables on the picking line. Laborers work as a team to perform any duties on job site that is needed. Mechanical aptitude is a definite plus.

- Ability to stand for up to ten hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely use basic hand tools including shoves and rakes.
- Will develop skills to identify non-conforming material.
- General housekeeping and basic maintenance activities required.
- Take part in daily safety/operational safety talks.
Strong mechanical background/aptitude.
Ability to operate or learn to operate skidsteer loaders, forklifts and manlifts safely.
