IMMEDIATE NEED for Chemical Material Handling Specialist- Roberta GA Due to business expansion, our client seeks experienced Chemical Material Handling Specialist for a LONG-TERM, full-time, on-going assignment with an indefinite end date! Our client is the leading global supplier of epoxy products. Their leading technology has been the fundamental building block of robust solutions for diverse applications for more than 50 years Chemical Material Handlers will produce and work with products used in coatings, wind turbines, road markings, epoxy flooring, carbon-fiber composite and related applications.     This role includes significant handling of chemicals (solids and liquids) to prepare and charge reactors.    Qualified candidates also package products into drums/pails/totes requiring manual handling of these containers and use of a forklift to move materials. Location: Roberta GA Length of assignment: 12 months + Candidates must be able to work rotation shifts- no graveyard. Week one: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Week two: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Job duties:

  • Work with production technicians to:
    • Perform packaging of chemicals, forklift hauling, sampling of chemicals from process equipment through established operating discipline.
  • Actively participates in all site EH&S initiatives.
  • Follow and understands Isolation of energy standard.
  • Complete Safety and Compliance Checks as directed. Use proper PPE and perform Housekeeping as required.
  • Attends and completes training as directed.
  • Perform job duties to satisfactory levels in support of the business and the team. This includes prompt arrival at start of shift, appropriate breaks, and adequate communication between shifts to ensure safe and accurate completion of batches.
  • Cooperates with associated functions to support the business: QC Lab, Site Logistics, EH&S and R&D. Knows, understands, and contributes to Plant goals.
  • Responds to Emergencies, Leak, or Spill as directed by the Immediate Response Leader or Immediate Response Team.
  • Works with the Operations Leader/Production Engineers to properly document Operating Discipline through procedures and training documentation.
  • Ability to work Shift Work.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams and team members.


  • Fork Lift experience a plus
  • Work experience in a production environment or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to pass Respirator Fit Test.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic proficiency in use of standard Workstation, E-mail.
  • Willing to work Rotating Shifts: 6:00 am-2:30 pm, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Ability to work effectively with teams and team members.

Screening Requirements:

  • Driving Record Check for the past 5 years to operate fork truck and pickup truck (valid DL required).
  • Ability to pass a production physical.
  • At least 1 year working in a manufacturing or production enviroment
  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED is required for education and will be verified.
