Responsible for strengthening and accelerating the organization’s performance improvement efforts by supporting and implementing progressive Human Resources (HR) systems and processes to include recruitment/selection, benefits, compensation and performance management. Provides support to leaders and functional teams on Company policies, procedures and programs. Will interact with HR team members at other locations to support various projects and initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following reflect the essential functions for this position but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned based upon changing business conditions.
•Assists with the administration and development of company-wide HR policies, procedures, and practices while maintaining compliance with applicable legal requirements.
•Works with other HR team members on improving and removing costs from health benefit plans e.g. wellness activities, plan designs etc.
•Manage full cycle recruiting process with managers and supervisors to include recruitment and team selection activities as well as conducting background/reference checks, wage negotiations and internal/external communications.
•Coordinates efforts to attract highly qualified candidates through multiple sources – recruiters, electronic boards, colleges/universities, job fairs and professional organizations in accordance with Affirmative Action Program
•Manages and promotes Affirmative Action Program and activities.
•Safety – Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations; create and implement new programs; assist in leading prevention programs/training; leading the Safety Committee meetings; conduct safety audits and report to appropriate management; manage the workers comp processes and claims.
•Facilitates teams or counsel’s team members and leaders to resolve individual or team issues or conflicts.
•Responds to inquiries regarding the organization’s processes, policies, procedures, and programs.
•Coordinates distribution/communication of projects including but not limited to Associate Handbook, 401(k) Plan, health and other employee benefits.
•Assists in administration of company compensation and benefits programs.
•Working knowledge of employment laws and regulation (AAP, FMLA, OSHA)
