Our entrepreneurial client, with beautiful modern offices headquartered in Newport Beach, is currently seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst. The Sr. Financial Analyst is a highly visible and impactful role in the organization helping to analyze, interpret, communicate, monitor, predict and drive business results. This individual will help lead the organization in the development and coordination of the company's financial planning processes, models and systems, along with the development of corporate, management and performance reporting.
Research, analyze and develop financial models and projections across different business lines Prepare and interpret basic financial statements and identify key trends
Work on short term and long term financial projections and budgets
Work closely with Senior Management on corporate board presentations
Present complex financial information-both written and oral to both financial and non-financial teams
Create Key performance indicators or dashboards for operating companies.
Assist with month end close process by pulling data from general ledger and analyzing data and looking at variances.
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting CFA / CPA preferred
4 years of relevant financial analyst experience with an investment firm, asset manager, merchant bank division, financial consulting firm
Ideally - 2 years public accounting experience / 2 years private equity/banking experience Experience with consumer products, health and beauty, media entertainment.
Must have advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
Knowledge of capital markets products is required
Must be able to work out of an accounting software system / use a general ledger
Must have superior communication and presentation skills
Must be comfortable speaking in front of people
Must have the personality to work with people across all business lines
Netsuite/Oracle, advanced Microsoft excel and power point skills.
