The brand-new facility will utilize the latest technology to increase the company's manufacturing capacity in parenteral (injectable) medications, device assembly and packaging operations. **We are currently hiring** **Lead Facility and Maintenance Engineer** **for our new site in Concord, NC**

**Position Description:**

The Lead Facility and Maintenance Engineer is expected to bring key expertise, technical leadership, and knowledge in the areas of maintenance, facility management, campus security and waste handling and disposal. This individual will be responsible for the development and technical systems, processes, programs and best practices at the Concord site in his area of accountability. Lead Facility and Maintenance Engineer will setting-up initial contracts for facility management, maintenance service, campus security and waste handling and disposal required to support Concord site, acting as the Lilly representative for local contractors and authorities in his area of accountability. This individual will be responsibilities to assure site compliance to corporate standards and guidelines for maintenance, facility management, campus security and waste handling. This individual will lead technical analysis, solution development through personal expertise, application of engineering principles and good engineering practices, project management skills, and direct interactions with manufacturing sites and functional areas.

**Key Objectives/Deliverables:**

+ Act as Business Owner during the design, construction, and start-up of the portion of the campus dedicated to support maintenance, campus security and waste handling and disposal.

+ Partner with Global Facilities Delivery (GFD), Engineering and Construction Companies, other design partners and more broadly the project team to provide input during the design phase of equipment and Concord facility on maintenance related items

+ Partner with Global Facilities Delivery (GFD), Construction and Design Build firms and more broadly the project team to ensure smooth transition handoff from construction to start up.

+ Partner with HSE to assure site compliance with environmental permits and waste handling and disposal regulation

+ Be the focal point for the establishment of the site maintenance program, including reliability strategies, criticality analysis, identification of failure modes and develop mitigation strategy

+ Partner with Corporate SME and Concord site functional areas to develop, establish, and sustain systems, processes, and programs for the Concord site in the areas of maintenance (including Work Permits, Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, etc...) facility management, campus security and waste handling and disposal, ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and provide ongoing technical support.

+ Be the focal point for site external contractor in the area of maintenance facility management, campus security and waste handling and disposal.

+ Coordinate and provide oversight for Lilly contracted work in the area of accountability that will occur simultaneously with site construction activities

+ Along with procurement, establish initial working relationships with local suppliers and contractors for material and services to be sourced locally in the area of accountability.

+ Understand and support event investigations, CAPA and change control processes.

+ Provide floor support to day-to-day maintenance, facility management, campus security and waste handling and disposal, includes oversight of external contractors, auditing, data collection and trending

**Requirements**

_Basic Qualifications:_

+ BS engineering

+ 5 years of Maintenance related experience

_Additional Skills (Preferred but not required)_

+ Previous experience with Maximo (GMARS)

+ Demonstrated technical leadership skills

+ Green site start-up experience

+ GMP operational experience

+ Experience with CAPA

**Additional Information**

+ This position will be based out of our Concord site (North Carolina), with ability to travel to Indianapolis and other global Lilly sites, as required

+ Schedule - 8 hour days - Monday through Friday. Must be flexible in providing support to accommodate other inputs (project activities, production schedules, shutdowns, etc.). Occasional extended hour and / or off-hour work may be required

+ Travel - Domestic and International travel may be required (10%)
