Job Description

The Opportunity:

Responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of Government Claims to help reduce potential losses to the Bank. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for support in a variety of functions to include but not limited to the following. 
Responsible for the filing of government foreclosure claims.
Claim filing involves the review of items completed by the Foreclosure Dept., Bankruptcy Dept., Loss Mitigation Department, Property Preservation Dept., Review of Black Knight/Director/MSP P309, DDCH Screens.
Responsible for monitoring claim filing times and filing claims on time to avoid bank financial losses.
Resolves routine problems, and ensures claims are filed timely and accurately. 
Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations. 
Researches and obtains data needed for the filing of government foreclosure claims.
Performs duties requiring exercise of judgment and a detailed knowledge of procedures and guidelines. 
Perform other related assignments / projects as requested by management.   
The incumbent works under general supervision. 
The incumbent has internal contact with several internal departments as well as outside vendors and attorney offices. 
 
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Associates degree or in lieu of degree two years’ relevant work experience
Minimum two years collections and/or loss mitigation experience, inclusive of foreclosure, REO and/or Bankruptcy 
One year post charge off collections, repossession, remarketing, REO, foreclosure, loss mitigation or bankruptcy experience
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Black Knight/Director 
Problem solving skills 
Functional knowledge in the specific area of specialization (foreclosure, collections, REO, bankruptcy, loss mitigation). 
Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
Detail oriented 
Motivated, team player with a positive and friendly attitude. 
Analytic oriented
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 3 years’ collections experience and two years’ post charge off collections, repossession, remarketing, REO, foreclosure, loss mitigation or bankruptcy
Prior departmental experience; foreclosure claims experience or pre-foreclosure experience
One year accounting or finance experience
