Head of Sales

At Company, we're on a mission to protect online users against hackers and bots. Our vision is to be the easiest and most developer friendly way of adding user account security processes your platform. Using our APIs, companies can track user interactions to figure out when accounts have been compromised as well as giving their users the ability to recover their accounts by eg. sending out an email notification or text message.

You'll be our first sales leader, and you'll lead and grow our sales team of 2 Mid-Market AE's & 2 BDRs in San Francisco. We just raised our Series A and will quadruple the team size in the coming 18 months. You'll work closely with the CEO to accelerate Company's journey towards a Series B and prove out our business model at scale.

The ideal candidate will serve as a goal-oriented, supportive and engaging manager, coach and mentor to a growing team .

What you'll do

  • Function as both a “player” and a “coach”, spending time both operating to close enterprise clients on the front lines as well as guiding the team’s development.
  • Manage the entire sales process including territory strategy, lead generation, software demonstration, negotiation, contracting, and transition to client services
  • Accurately develop, track, and forecast pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with functions across the organization -- e.g., marketing, engineering, business intelligence -- to improve our ability to communicate and deliver on high-value use cases for our clients 

Who you are

  • 5+ years of hands-on SaaS sales experience (preferably a product that requires integration)
  • Experience in recruiting AEs and BDRs
  • Proven track record of selling technology solutions into the C-suite and other strategic decision makers in large organizations
