Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our high-functioning team on the plaintiff's side. The successful candidate will be responsible for case management, legal research, document management and review, discovery support, trial preparation and support, client communication, administrative tasks, and more. This candidate should be proficient in legal research and analysis, including the use of legal research databases like Westlaw.

  • Organize and maintain virtual case files, documents, and databases.
  • Create and manage case timelines and calendars to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, and other parties involved in the case.
  • Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations, primarily as it relates to procedure and deadlines.
  • Analyze legal issues and summarize findings for attorneys.
  • Manage large volumes of documents, including organizing, indexing, and creating databases.
  • Review and analyze documents for relevance, responsiveness, and privilege.
  • Assist in drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Assist in drafting and responding to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Coordinate and manage document production.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, including organizing exhibits and creating deposition summaries.
  • Assist in developing trial strategies and preparing trial materials.
  • Organize and manage trial exhibits, including creating exhibit lists and binders.
  • Coordinate with experts and witnesses regarding their trial testimony and schedules.
  • Provide on-site trial support, such as managing exhibits, taking notes, and assisting attorneys as needed.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain information, provide updates, and address any concerns.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics standards.
  • Calendaring deadlines, tasks, and events.
  • Coordinate with vendors for services such as court reporting, eDiscovery, and document management.

You'll Bring....!
  • A paralegal certificate or degree from an American Bar Association (ABA)-approved paralegal program is preferred, but not required.
  • Several years of experience working as a litigation paralegal, ranging from 3 to 7 years or more. However, the related experience will also be considered (e.g., secretarial or administrative).
  • Experience working with personal injury cases is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents, interacting with clients, and collaborating with attorneys and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
