2.0 Job Summary
2.1 Under the direction of the Materials Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for
verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipment sand prepares items for
3.0 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
3.1 Completes tasks, in compliance with ODS, BOS, IATF-16949, ISO-14001 Standards and Customer
3.2 Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments with documentation, including generating
3.3 Receives and unloads incoming materials and prepares outgoing material for shipment.
3.4 Compares identifying information and counts, weights or measures items of incoming and outgoing
shipments to verify information against the bills of lading or in SAP.
3.5 Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platforms to storage and work areas.
3.6 May operate dolly, pallet jack and/or forklift in loading and unloading shipments; will band and
shrink wrap palletized orders for shipment.
3.7 Help ensure proper storage, inventory and security of all product stocks.
3.8 Maintains appropriate records files, documentation and resolves routine problems.
3.9 Participates in the Health, Safety and Environmental program by following all policies, procedures
and work instructions that may include safety rules, safety observation audits, regulatory
compliance, environmental awareness and audits, and continuous improvement.

4.0 Education / Experience / Skills

4.1 High School Education or Equivalent (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4.2.1 Willingness to take on tasks outside of customary responsibilities and displays a positive attitude.
4.2.2 Shows Initiative, candidate does not wait to be told, but anticipates and acts on what needs to be done.
4.2.3 Communication, exhibits verbal and written communication so superiors, peers and especially subordinates. Can understand dealing with customers/Internal & External (Program Managers, QE's, other departments...)
4.2.4 Ability to work well in a team atmosphere. Must be able to work well with others either as the leader of the group or in a subordinate capacity when working with members of management.
4.2.5 Good Decision Maker, when provided the necessary tools, is able to make sound manufacturing decisions. T/L is capable of knowing who to consult when they don't have the required info to make a decision based on available information.
5.1 This position reports directly to Materials Manager.
5.2 This position is accountable to the Plant Manager.
