Person Memorial Hospital
Review and analyzes a variety of medical records (observation, outpatient surgeries, ER & outpatient test as well as upon occasion inpatient records) for CMS, states, AHIMA, and AHA required documentation and form guidelines. Resolve specific concerns with medical necessity documentation requiring specific documents. Assist in the education of other department personnel concerning changes in documentation requirements from Medicare and Medicaid, etc.. Review records for HIPPA compliance. Scan documents as requested for department and other duties as assigned by the Director.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
Minimum Work Experience
5-10 years of Hospital experience, and 1-5 years of medical records experience.
Rules and regulations of CMS, as it pertains to Health Information Management.
RHIT LVN or other credentials.
