ELECTRICAL & CONTROLS ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

Create Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems.

Develop HMI applications interfacing with both machine controls and SQL databases.

Study existing production equipment and make program improvements to improve the flow and process of the product.

Design electrical schematics required to build control panels and route on-machine wiring.

Analyze plant processes, design, and implement improvements.

Troubleshooting issues with hardware, processes, and plant equipment.

Design electrical circuits and review existing circuits for all product lines.

Prepare schematic wiring diagrams using the latest AutoCAD software.

Assist customers with troubleshooting.

Work with outside service technicians in the field or troubleshooting over the phone.

Occasional travel required as needed to customer sites.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Controls Engineering
• Experience creating PLC programs.
• Experience programming HMI applications
• A strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Willing to travel to customer sites to assist with troubleshooting.
• Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.
