ROLE: Senior Product Manager

TYPE: FullTime

LOCATION: Downtown Denver


The Senior Product Manager is an individual contributor responsible for bringing forwardthe most valuable product possible by the desired date from the backlog.As a Senior Product Manager you will be charged by the organization to "get this product out" and is the personwho is expected to do the best possible job of satisfying all the stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managesthe flow of work to cross functional teams, selecting and refining items fromthe backlog.
  • Ownsand maintains (grooms) the product backlog (features and bugs) and ensures thateveryone knows what is on it and what the priorities are, progress against itwhat to defer and is kept visible.
  • Theproduct owner may be supported by other individuals but must bean individual contributor
  • Interfaceto the business owners of the project (stakeholders)
  • Decidewhat work will be done for each phase of their product's life cycle (productroad map)
  • Reducingscope, if needed to meet dates
  • Workwith the UI/UX in flushing out design and requirements
  • Developproducts by conducting research and identifying potential products and productenhancements
  • Translatingproduct strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Generatingproduct requirements and specifications and time based plans for productintroduction
  • Creatingbuy-in for the product vision both internally and with key externalstakeholders/partners
  • Driveproduct launches including working with operations, executives, and otherproduct team members
  • Actas a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Assessesmarket competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Mustbe able to design, implement and update Product related processes to be used inthe organization (e.g. for SDLC management, request intake process, stakeholdercommunication, etc.)  


Theideal candidate will meet the following criteria 

  • 5+years work experience in product management or product owner or product manager
  • Trackrecord of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Maymanage multiple aspects of the product in parallel
  • Abilityto develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicaterecommendations to executive management
  • Technicalbackground with understanding and/or hands-on experience in softwaredevelopment and web technologies
  • Strongproblem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the jobdone
  • Skilledat working effectively with cross functional teams
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills
  • Undergraduatedegree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent preferred
  • Experiencewith Agile methodologies
  • Actsas a leader or mentor within the Product team (mentor Product Analyst andProduct Owner I roles) 
  • Documentsand drives best practices and standard procedures throughout the team
  • Operatesautonomously with limited input on tactical tasks
