Senior Financial Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Detroit. This Hybrid position offers both in office and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will possess technical accounting experience, a strong understanding of GAAP, and proficiency with SAP. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, along with U.S. citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

1. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business decision-making.
2. Prepare and present detailed financial reports and forecasts.
3. Analyze financial statements and performance metrics in accordance with GAAP.

Technical Accounting:

1. Apply technical accounting principles and standards to ensure accurate financial reporting.
2. Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
3. Perform technical accounting research and analysis on complex issues.
4. Leverage SAP for financial data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
5. Maintain and update SAP financial modules as required.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues in financial reporting.

Collaboration and Communication:

1. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide insights.
2. Communicate financial findings and recommendations to senior management.
3. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Compliance and Controls:

1. Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
2. Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Analyst with a strong background in technical accounting.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and advanced knowledge of GAAP.
4. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
